DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?Life abroad can look good on paper and still feel hard to live.
You may be building a successful career, adapting to a new culture and keeping everything moving. From the outside, life appears to be going well. Underneath it, you may feel exhausted, disconnected or unable to switch off.
Burnout and constant pressure
Long hours, high expectations and an overactive mind that keeps working long after the day has ended.
Isolation and cultural disconnect
Living far from your usual support network, never feeling completely settled, carrying the pressure of always having to be the strong one.
Life transitions and crossroads
Career changes, relationship strain or uncertainty about what comes next while living away from familiar surroundings.
Nervous-system overload
Feeling tense, irritable, restless or exhausted—even when there is no immediate problem to solve.
You do not need to be in crisis or have everything figured out before beginning
HOW I WORKA practical approach to mind and body
Stress is not only something you think about. It can affect your sleep, breathing, energy, concentration, relationships and ability to feel present.
My approach combines Gestalt therapy with somatic awareness and practical regulation tools. We work with what is happening in your life now while remaining open to earlier experiences when they help explain a present pattern.
There is no rigid programme and no expectation that you tell your entire life story before we address what is currently keeping you stuck.
Present-focused therapy
Together, we look at how stress, burnout and recurring patterns are showing up in your work, relationships and daily life.
The aim is to help you understand your reactions more clearly, recognise patterns and create more room to choose how you respond.
Somatic awareness and regulation
Mental overload is also a physical experience.
We pay attention to how stress appears in your body—through tension, restlessness, shallow breathing, fatigue or difficulty switching off—and develop practical ways to feel more grounded and regulated.
WHAT SESSIONS ARE LIKEConversational, direct and collaborative
I listen carefully, but I also participate. Sessions are not based on a script, and therapy should not feel like something being done to you.
The hardest part of difficult feelings is often having to keep them to yourself.
And that is what our sessions are about.
A safe space to express your thoughts and feelings, so you can find relief and clarity.
Once you understand where you stand, the next step becomes clearer.

I offer online therapy to expats and professionals living internationally.
I completed four years of professional training in Gestalt therapy at Gestaltakademiet in Norway. Before training as a Gestalt therapist, I worked as a personal trainer, focusing on movement, body mechanics and practical human physiology.
That combination continues to shape how I work. I pay attention both to what you are thinking and feeling and to how stress is showing up physically.
I see therapy as an honest partnership between two adults. My role is not to tell you how to live your life. It is to help you slow down, cut through the noise and recognise patterns that can be difficult to see when you are living inside them.
You do not need to be broken to benefit from therapy. Sometimes you simply need a dedicated space to understand what is happening and regain a sense of direction.

It is a brief, informal conversation—not a therapy session.
We talk about what you are currently experiencing, what you would like help with and any questions you have about my approach. We then decide whether working together appears to be a good fit.
-
Before the appointment, you receive a link to a secure video call.
At the scheduled time, you simply click the link from a private location with a stable internet connection. No account or software download is required.
-
Yes. If you prefer to talk without video, that is completely fine. We can have the session by phone instead.
-
No. You can contact me and book directly without a diagnosis or referral.
I do not provide psychiatric diagnoses, medication or medical treatment. I will let you know if I think another form of support would be better suited to your needs.
-
No.
Our primary focus is what is happening in your life now. Earlier experiences may become relevant when they help us understand a current reaction or recurring pattern, but they do not automatically become the focus of the work.
-
Sessions are confidential.
Before beginning, you will receive clear information about privacy, record-keeping and the limited circumstances in which confidentiality may need to be broken, such as an immediate risk of serious harm or a legal requirement.
-
Yes, but please tell me before joining from a different country, just in case other rules apply.
-
No. I do not provide emergency or crisis intervention.
If you are in immediate danger or require urgent psychiatric support, contact the emergency services or an appropriate crisis service where you are physically located.
